The answer is typically "yes". In my opinion though, mastering is really the final step in solidifying the feel that your song is supposed to have, and that makes it a flexible goal. Is your music supposed to sound aggressive, or is it supposed to sound mellow? Is it supposed to sound HUGE, or is it supposed to sound focused? Or, hey, maybe you do just wish it were louder, and/or a bit more professional.

I'm here to master your music not just professionally, but the way it wants to sound. You can leave that distinction entirely up to me, but I will gladly accept descriptive keywords for the way you want your master to feel.
